The new wave of spam collapsed on computers users with fake copy of the
Internet browser - Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). Spam messages are known
as "Internet Explorer 7" and are presented as if it were sent from the
department of the corporation Microsoft. In the message itself is no
explanation, only a link to download the "download the latest version",
as well as the link "about this mailing", - a brief description of the
so-called service of the Microsoft.
After clicking on the link to download, the user is sent to fake
browser page, which tries to download the file volume of 136K b, under
the name "update.exe". Executable file, in turn, infect user's computer
and downloads the malicious software. Last month, used a similar tactic
with unsolicited email supposedly from Microsoft, for contamination
computers. Attacks were aimed at installing malicious software on
victim's computer, under the guise of photographs of naked actress
Angelina Jolie.
