Google
is going to launch a new service in Britain, called Street View. Street
View service will be complementary to Google Maps and will instantly
receive high-quality fresh images of a locality. The photos will be
easy to see passersby who accidentally hit the shot.
But
Privacy International, a British human rights organization, believes
that the development of new Google violates the rights of citizens. "In
our view, Google's need to have the consent of each person who enters
the picture, because this picture is used for commercial purposes" -
said Simon Davis, representative of the aforementioned human rights
organization.
Service Street View is already running in the
U.S. and allows users to view pictures streets of many large cities in
the country. In Britain Street View service should start this week.
First photos will be available only streets of London.
